Encyclopedias

An encyclopedia is a reference source that provides information on many subjects (General Encyclopedia) or many aspects of one subject (Subject Encyclopedia). You can search for more encyclopedias in Creedo Reference, Gale Virtual Reference Library, and other resources on our ebooks page.

Comprehensive coverage on a variety of subjects including, arts, business, geography, history, literature, philosophy, politics, pop culture, science, sports, and more.
Columbia Encyclopedia
Provides authoritative factual information about our world in its many guises - physical, historical, geographical, political, scientific, religious, and cultural.
Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine
Includes information on more than 1,700 medical disorders and concepts. Each article includes in-depth discussion of causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, procedures, and other related topics.
Gale Encyclopedia of Science
Covers all major areas of science, engineering, technology, as well as mathematics and the medical and health sciences, while providing a comprehensive overview of current scientific knowledge and technology.
Magill's Medical Guide
