Not a search engine but billed as a "Computational Knowledge Engine", Wolfram Alpha pulls info from its own databases in response to search terms. Very good for finding quantitative information and statistical data. Won't work for every search, but useful in certain cases.

Includes maps and statistics on different kinds of alternative fuels. Searchable map of alternative fueling stations, graphs of fuel costs over time, etc.
