The Internet allows people to communicate in a large number of different ways. Blogs and social media sites, like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, allow users to post text, pictures, and videos for others to see and respond to. Chat or instant messaging gives people an opportunity to write and respond to each other immediately. Video chat through services like Skype lets computer users see and talk to each other no matter where they are. These are just some of the many communication options available through the Internet, and new ones are being developed all the time.
